Objectives
Being able to show insight at using, memorising and reproducing the basic knowledge. Being able to perform tasks independently and according to pedagogical principles; and if necessary being able to explain the working methods for lecturers and fellow students.

Topics
Introduction to the database program Access; Introduction to the presentation package PowerPoint; Introduction and theoretical background of data communications and computer networks, including the Internet; Sequel to design and implementation in Turbo Pascal. The course covers two main areas: a subject specific part (both theory and practical) and subject didactics.

Prerequisites
Knowledge of the contents acquired in the 1st year Informatics.

Monitoring lessons by the media centre and on appointment.

Teaching Methods
Response colleges, hearing- and practical lessons, observation lessons, didactical lessons en guided individual work. In the subject specific part the emphasis is continuously made on the didactical aspects of the covered contents to assure that both parts form a logical unity.

Assessment
Practical / oral and/or written examinations in January and/or June. Permanent evaluations.
