Key words
Strength of materials , Finit Element Method , Calculation of welds, Bulking, Calculation of bolts

Objectives
The first part of this course is based on the finite element method. By using this method we calculate complex structures by computer. The students are aimed to apply this method correctly. Static and dynamic problems are discussed theoretically and fully trained on computer.
The second part of this course makes the student competent to fulfil calculations of strength of constructions. These items are necessary to achieve the competention to start the final project

Topics
Theory
1. Module matrix calculation
2. Module Finite Element Method
3. Module Sorts of used elements
4. Module Dynamic Loads
5. Module calculation of bolts
6. Module calculation of welds
7. Module buckling
8. Module calculation of cylindrical vessels and bended bars
9. Module calculation of artificial materials
Excercises :
Guided excercises on PC with NX-Nastran and guided theoretical cases(norms).
