Objectives
The student must be able to formulate a scientific well-founded nutrition for calves, heifers and beef cattle, based on a profound physiological knowledge of these animals in the different production-phases. Hereby he/she also has to take into account the involved economical, zootechnical and ecological parameters and the consumer's demands for the quality of animal end products.

  • Important physiological parameters for the feeding of replacement calves
  • Practical feeding of calves taking into account the zoo technical, economical, labour-technical and health factors
  • Feeding of the heifer taking into account the effect on her production capacity as high producing dairy cow

  • Feeding of meat calves, suckling cows, reform cows, steers, bulls and heifers
