Objectives
The student should know the basic concepts and laws of physics which are required to understand the action of clothing machines.Therefore, in this course a lot of practical applications are discussed. The basic knowledge should enable the student to acquire new knowledge and to apply it in new situations. The student should also be able to review new technical information critically.


Topics
Part 1: mechanics , theory of heat and optics
work, energy, power, hydrostatic pressure, thermal expansion, thermometry, gases, vibrations, sound, light
Part 2: theory of electricity
conductors and insulators, electric current, resistors, Ohm's law, capacitors, magnetism and electromagnetism, electrodynamic forces, electromagnetic induction, alternating current.

* Certificate of secondary school
* Notions of elementary mathematics and physics
