Thematically organized course, in which the terminology of marine insurance and reinsurance, banking and stock exchange transactionsis studied and practised.

Basic knowledge of insurance and financial terminology; sufficient grammatical correctness for fluent communication.

Teaching Methods
  • Question-answer method: the terminology is presented by means of texts, documents and case studies
  • Integrated speech training:
  • functional conversations
  • presentations about a job-related subject of students' own choice (individual, pair or group work)
  • Guided self-study: the students prepare topics and consult the lecturer in case of problems.


Assessment
25% continuous assessment and 75% oral 1st examination period.
Second examination period: 100% oral.
