Objectives
The students obtain a basic knowledge in the marine insurance by means of the "Policy of Antwerp" and in road haulage by means of proper transport-insurance and the CMR-insurance.

Topics
Starting with a general introduction to the insurance systems in Belgium, 4 chapters are explained in detail:
  1. Analysis of the Sea Law and the Policy of Antwerp
  2. Analysis of the CMR Law and the CMR Policy.
  3. Damage and Liability-insurances with case-studies in transport.
  4. National and international organization of the transport-insurance market.
