Objectives
The objectives are dual. Firstly teaching of mathematical concepts in support of other courses. Secondly, introducing logical reasening techniques concerning problemdefinition, problemanalysis and problemsolving.


Prerequisites
Addition, multiplication and power of real numbers, special products and linear equations.

  1. Co-ordinate geometry
    Vectors, co-ordinates, equation of a straight line, condition for perpendicularity, distance of a point from a line
  2. Algebra
    (in)equations in 1 variable, systems of linear (in)equations
  3. Trigonometry
    Trigonometrical numbers, trigonometrical functions, solving triangles
  4. Statistics
    Frequency, mean value, deviation
    Binomial distribution, normal distribution
