Objectives
Theoretical aspects : The purpose of this course is to provide a guide to understanding the fundamental principles of the analytical techniques of volumetric and instrumental methods.
Experiments : with selected experiments informe the students of the practical aspects of volumetric and instrumental techniques and how measurements are translated to reliable quantitative results. The results are qualified by some concepts of quality control. A security report pays attention to the dangers associated with chemical products.

Prerequisites

Topics
Theoretical aspects :
Volumetric methods : complexometrie and redox analysis
Instrumental methods : fluorescence spectometrie, introduction to coulometry - voltammetry
Experiments : determination of Fe2O3 in a iron ore , determination of Cu in copper-base alloys , determination of kinine in tonic, EDTA- and redox titrations, methods for analysis of water : BOD, COD, chlorides, nitrates ea.
