Objectives Students show insight in recent trends and discussions around socio-cultural work. Students are able to reffect upon these recent trends and developments. Students develop a personal and critical vision upon strategic analyses of target groups, mission statements of organisations and visions of the role of sociocultural organisations, based on a critical analysis of trends in society. Students show deep insight into the basic functions of sociocultural work.
Prerequisites
Beroepsinitiatie partim sociocultural work (first year course): socio-cultural work (2nd year course).
Topics Basic aspects of socio-cultural work; viosons mission statements, analysis of target groups, participants, methods and theorie. Basic aspects of programming in sociocultural work. Recent discussions about sociocultural work (lifelong learning, social cohesion).
Teaching Methods Colleges, group discussions, individual and group assignments.
